The Department of Communication, History and Philosophy seeks applications from qualified candidates for a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment in Speech beginning in Fall 2023.The successful candidate will teach introductory Speech courses, including Dual Credit/Early College High School (DC/ECHS) classes, and have service expectations within the department.The base teaching load at A&M-SA is 4/4. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed.
Education and Experience:
M.A. required in Speech or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution by the time of appointment.
Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Communication/Speech.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
University teaching experience in Public Speaking or closely related course(s) commensurate with the rank of Lecturer.
Availability to teach in-person classes
Availability to teach DC/ECHS students at the Texas A&M-San Antonio campus and/or local high school campuses.

Official transcripts must be on file with the Office of the Provost, and sent directly from each degree-granting institution to Texas A&M University-San Antonio at the address listed below. We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm).
