The Coordinator of Parent Outreach & Engagement, reporting to the Director of Parent Outreach & Engagement, coordinates and implements programs for the grant-funded La Familia program.
This position will work a minimum of 40 hours per week and is an in-person/on-campus position. Some work hours will extend into the evenings and weekends. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and peak times. Some travel is required.
This is a grant-funded position. Grant-funded positions are time-limited and are contingent upon sufficient grant funding.
Responsibilities:
Implement an effective parent outreach and engagement program for the University which will target specific parents and families within the ASPIRE network.
Coordinate logistics, secure meeting spaces, order catering, and provide general event support for a series of parent/family workshops or seminars within the ASPIRE network of schools. May also provide facilitation for the workshops.
Provide administrative support to help the Manager manage a large grant-funded budget. Follow procedures and processes to ensure proper spending and accounting for the grant funds.
Collaborates with other offices across campus including but not limited to the Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid, Office of Campus Visit Experience & Community Partnerships, New Student Programs, Testing Center, etc.
Secures appropriate resources (meeting rooms, parking, etc.) for all La Familia programming.
Track data analytics for all programs.
Assist in recruitment efforts for La Familia Parent Program, including but not limited to making calls, tabling, parent nights, etc.
Create and update materials for the department, including but not limited to flyers, PowerPoints, handouts, etc.
Collaborates with team, to include student staff, on projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in the related field.
Two (2) years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Planning and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to problem solve.
