The Assessment Analyst provides professional planning, coordination. and development for the college’s assessment programs and initiatives and supports the goals and objectives of the program-level accreditation. This position continually monitors progress toward defined objectives by collecting and analyzing data and communicating with faculty, staff, and other constituents. Interfaces with college and university personnel, external accrediting bodies and other partners to ensure accurate information and submission of assessment data.
Responsibilities:
Plans, develops, coordinates, and implements assessment and academic program review activities across the COBA; continually monitors progress toward identified goals and objectives to support continual accreditation of the college.
Collects, compiles, and analyzes data related to faculty qualifications, curriculum AACSB standards, strategic plan, enrollment, and other academic activities for the purposes of accreditation, academic program reviews, self-studies, college-level decision-making, and other related activities.
Serves as point-of-contact for internal and external constituencies as it relates to assessment information: compiles reports and information for dissemination to internal and external stakeholders with the approval of the dean of the COBA.
Provides professional guidance, consultation, and support to faculty staff, college administrators, and other related personnel as it pertains to the college’s assessments, collection of data, and other related activities.
Interprets assessment findings, analyzes, and compiles comprehensive statistical and narrative data; assists with the preparation of official assessment reports to summarize findings.
Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art equipment, pedagogy, technology, equipment, and/or systems.
Collaborates and partners with Institutional Research and Effectiveness.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the dean of the college. There may be flexibility in work modality with this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education – Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience – Two years of related experience.
Knowledge of – Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective leadership, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think critically. Detail oriented.
Licensing / Professional Certification – None.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as an assessment specialist at the college or university level is preferred.
Knowledge of assessment methodologies, practices. and principles.
Ability to present effectively to small and large groups.
Ability to investigate and analyze information.
Experience or ability to work effectively with diverse populations of faculty, staff, and students.
Knowledge of continuous improvement management principles and practices.
Advanced research, analytical, critical thinking, and report writing skills.
Ability to synthesize and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare and present reports effectively.
Ability to develop and deliver effective training materials to faculty and staff within area of professional specialty.
Database management skills.
