Summary:
Accountable for maintaining and protecting confidential personal and health information for employees on leave. Conducts various employee and departmental training regarding absence management programs such as workers’ compensation, FMLA, Short- and Long-Term Disability, parental leave. Responsible for reviewing and processing leave applications for all faculty members as well as overseeing leave billing and time record applications. Administers the pre-employment drug testing and physical programs. Prepares reports, metrics and data related to absence management. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years related absence management/benefits experience. Demonstrated customer service experience. Excel, word, and access database experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to formalize WC/FMLA metrics.
* Understanding of Kronos time collection or similar systems and how to apply that to leaves.
* Short – term and Long -term benefits experience.
* Payroll knowledge and how it relates to benefits.
* Ability to make presentations to various size groups.
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
* Demonstrated attention to detail.
Preferred:
* Banner system experience
* Benefits and benefit billing experience.
This position requires a background check.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
