Accounts Receivable Clerk

Morrisville, NC

Your contribution:

Accounts Receivable functions will assist with sending invoices to customers via mail, email, and customer web portal uploads. Work on select accounts to ensure open receivable status is current and assist with collections. Upload tax certificates into Avalara sales tax software, and assist with other departmental tasks, including releasing credit blocks and blocked delivery notes, setting up parent child relationships in SAP, and updating customer files.

• Process customer invoices through electronic invoicing via mail, email
• and through customer web portals
• Upload, process and reconcile sales tax certificates into tax software
• Assist with setting up new accounts in SAP and ensuring that tax status
• and customer invoice preferences are input correctly
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
• Work with business partners to optimize cash collections & reduce past due AR
• Backup for the Accounts Receivable Coordinator position as required
• Special projects as assigned supervisor, department head or other Tecan
• Manager, including setting up SAP parent child relationships and maintaining
• customer information in SAP
• Handles other tasks as assigned and responds to change productively.
• Follows all local safety procedures, State and Federal OSHA Regulations, and reports any safety concerns.

Your background

• Associate degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 2 years experience in general accounting (preferred) or office experience
• Must have a good understanding of general accounting and internal control policies, and work in conjunction with management to implement and maintain these policies.
• Customer portal billing experience preferred
• A working knowledge of Excel, Word and accounting systems is desired.
• SAP experience or equivalent preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to complete assignments with focus on accuracy
• Professional etiquette and behaviors
• Ability to recognize potential problem areas and inform management
• Ability to treat confidential information in a professional manner, and discussed only with my supervisor, the HR manager, CFO, or President, or a person designated by them. Any knowledge of confidential information is to be used only in the conduct of official business of Tecan.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to interact effectively with diverse groups inside and outside of the organization
