Experienced Accounting Assistant with STS Industrial

Available for immediate start date in our Sulphur, Louisiana location.
This position is for someone who is able to:

• enter a lot of data accurately into a computer system (like, invoices),
• manage a lot happening around them all day (like a front line receptionist),
• deal with a lot of people and requests ‘coming at you’ all day without becoming overwhelmed.

We are looking for an assistant to our Accounting Manager. This position carries a heavy workload of accounting-related invoices, data entry, and information management that includes, but is not limited to:

• Non-Stop Receptionist Duties
• Processing Customer Invoices into Accounting Software System
• Document Scanning
• Management of Urgent Certificates/Documents
• Processing Customer Credit Checks
• Vendor and Customer Account Setup
• Assisting with light AR and related customer service
• Internal Accounting-Related Process Support Work
• Providing A-Z Support for Accounting Manager
• Being willing to do whatever clerical tasks are needed for company-wide business support.

Ideally, we will give preference to the applicants who have:

• Some experience performing these type of job tasks and responsibilities,
• Any Accounting academic course work,
• Previous employment positions in an accounting department, and/ or
• Experience doing bookkeeping work

Compensation Summary:
$17-19/ per hour

Quarterly Teamwork Bonus Program

*Bonuses are calculated based on your performance, the team’s performance, and the company’s performance during the 3-month period of time. Bonus rate is based on 35 hours times your hourly rate of pay. It can be more or less than $483 per quarter depending on the calculation of the performance factors.

Preferred Basic Technology Skills

Our ideal candidate will be:

• proficient with performing intermediate computer functions and technology problem solving,
• able to learn quickly to navigate multiple operating software systems including, but not limited to Microsoft Office (including Outlook) and the common accounting software systems,
• and knowledgeable and able to perform all basic receptionist and clerical related tasks independently and with ease.
