Hours are Flexible – 5-20 hours per week. The Science Learning Center is typically open Monday – Thursday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
A tutor in the Science Learning Center will tutor students in physics, astronomy, or other related courses offered at Stark State College that you have taken an mastered.
Tutors will need to welcome students, assist students with course work pertaining to lecture or lab, help students with simple computer tasks including using our Online tutoring center and sign in system.
Tutors will also complete other duties as assigned including but not limited to print, answer the phone, clean, organize, and assist the Science Learning Center Coordinator.
The primary role of this position is to communicate course specific information to students in need of assistance.
Beyond course specific information, students need assistance with how to study, assistance with homework systems, and computer assistance.
Education, Experience and Licensure/Certification Requirements
Must maintain current Stark State College student status.
You have earned an A or B in the course(s) you want to tutor.
