The Development Office of the School of Engineering
at Stanford University is seeking a Development Coordinator to support the School’s Donor Relations and Development
Communications group. The successful candidate for this position will play an important role supporting the group responsible for
stewardship of donors in the School of Engineering. The Development Coordinator reports to the Development Group Development Operations
Manager and provides outstanding office support and a full range of administrative services.
Your
responsibilities include:
– Support the Director and Associate Directors of Donor Relations and Development
Communications.
– Provide project and administrative support.
– Assist in the design, publication and production of fundraising
materials.
– Build a network of relevant contacts, and stay informed on current university initiatives and activities.
– Produce and
distribute stewardship communications, particularly gift acknowledgement letters.
– Support donor event planning and execution, including
event logistics, invitations, preparation of attendee bios, and event collateral.
– Research and contribute to background briefings on
donors and prospects.
– Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external audiences.
– Maintain donor and stewardship
information in the development database and produce reports to respond to internal and external requests for information.
– Compile and
track data about donor and alumni participation and volunteerism.
– Review and track funds and report on use of gifts, as assigned.
Originate purchase requisitions, expense reimbursements, and access Stanford’s online gift and accounting databases for reporting
purposes.
– Organize and schedule meetings and appointments, including conference room scheduling.

assigned.
Education & Experience (Required):
– Bachelor’s degree and one year relevant experience or combination of
education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (Required):
–
Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office suite.
– Knowledge of database systems, such as Microsoft Access.
– Ability to work
efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
– Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact
with a wide range of people.
– Outstanding communication skills and exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Certifications and Licenses:
– Valid California Non-commercial Class Driver’s License.
Education & Experience (Desired):
– Proofreading, editing, and working with writers to
deliver quality content.
Working Conditions:
– May require working flexible hours,
including nights and weekends.
Physical Requirements*:
– Frequently perform
desk-based computer tasks, sit, and use a telephone, stand/walk.
– Occasionally light/fine grasping, lift/carry/push/pull objects that
weigh up to 10 pounds, writing by hand.
– Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.

Pay Range:
The
expected pay range for this position is $67,000 to $91,000 per annum.

candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the
qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for
comparable jobs.
