We are looking for a talented, imaginative, and detail-oriented social media professional to build our capacity to communicate about what the d.school does and why we do it.

Overview of the role:
This is a 1 year fixed term position.
We are seeking an experienced and creative social media professional who can shape the strategy of the d.schoolâs social marketing efforts and provide visibility for the work done by our wide community of d.school educators. The Social Media Manager will oversee the planning, day-to-day delivery and assessment of the d.schoolâs social media communications on channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge and experience of how to engage, inspire, and move people to action. Candidates should have a strong bias toward creating impact, not just reaching large numbers of people through communications channels for the sole purpose of building an audience. Prior knowledge of the design world and/or education sector is a plus.
The Social Media Manager will report to our Director of Communications. This person will work closely with our Creative Director and Director of Community on editorial point of view, and will collaborate with a creative editorial team and public relations professionals.
We are looking for someone who can dive right in and bring their expertise to bear in areas where we donât have it, and also adapt their creative output to the voice, tone and brand ethos of the d.school.

Develop communication deliverables in an area of expertise or for a unit or a complex program.

Pay Range:
The expected pay range for this position is $99,000 to $122,000 annually.
