About the Lab:

The Svensson Laboratory is dedicated to the discovery of new ligands that can control metabolism. We are using a combination of omics, gene editing and physiology approaches to better understand how to target complex diseases such as aging, metabolic diseases, and cancer.
Schedule: Monday – Friday – 9am-5pm
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with general laboratory techniques, especially basic molecular and cellular biology techniques (including DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, DNA assembly, bacterial transformation, eukaryotic cell culture, etc.)
Education & Experience (Required):
One year’s employment experience in laboratory work or a combination of equivalent education and relevant work experience/training (e.g., one year of college science).
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (Required):
Work requires the ability to follow detailed instructions and keep accurate records.

Working Conditions:
Work occurs in a research laboratory environment. Depending on research, may work in the vicinity of animals, chemicals, gasses, or hazardous materials. Expected to follow all safety requirements and procedures including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) if required.
Due to the nature of the work, this position will be fully onsite.
The expected pay range for this position is $29.78 to $35.90 per hour.
Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
Placement in the range is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
