St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking a Capital Project Manager. This position will develop project plans and budgets and deploy those projects as approved by the College. Projects will range from small renovations, to underground utilities and pavement, to new building construction. This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring on site construction activities with vendors and internal customers. Additionally, the Capital Project Manager is responsible for long term planning of major maintenance and strategic projects.
Specific responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates and budgets for campus capital projects. Schedule and coordinate campus construction activities. Manage and report on project budgets. – 30%
Monitor projects for compliance with various codes and legal requirements and respond to problems, delays, and emergencies. – 20%
Develop and maintain long term project deployment plans. Assist in asset condition assessments for major maintenance programs. Produce financial projections for multi-year capital budgets and deferred maintenance programs. – 20%
Produce sketches, drawings, and designs for internal planning needs. – 15%
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction specialists. Interpret and explain contracts, plans, specifications, and other technical information to internal customers and other professionals. – 10%
Present projects, budget, and plans to College leadership and internal customers. – 5%
Perform additional duties as assigned and attend College required training. Regular attendance is required. Work in a manner that is aware of personal safety and the safety of others and observes safety, health and sanitation codes, regulations, or practices required by the College or governmental authority.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education –
Associates Degree with relevant experience in a related field
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience and Credentials –
5 or more years of experience in commercial construction or capital project management
Experience with design software such as Revit or Autocad
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse campus environment or commitment to do so as an employee of St. Norbert College.
Valid Drivers License

Skilled at organizing events, programs, projects and see them through to completion.
Skilled at making presentations to large (>100) groups of people.
Ability to concentrate and focus in a noisy environment.

Equipment Used:
Computer, phone, calculator, printer/copier, and other general office equipment. Use of maintenance vehicles to include UTVs, vans, and trucks.
Working Conditions:
Regular work hours are M – F, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm with a few interruptions throughout the day. This position is expected to work on campus on a regular basis and is eligible to participate in a Hybrid Work and Flexible Schedules. Approval of Flexible Work Arrangements are at the discretion of the department supervisor to ensure that the needs of the department and college are met. Weekends or evenings are generally not required unless required by the project. This position is not required to travel..
