S&T Bank’s Summer Internship Program is a compensated professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical, real-life experience.
Summer internship participants will:
Explore careers in the Banking industry,
Participate in volunteer opportunities,
Join Q&A sessions with Bank leaders and executives,
Connect through team building activities and much more!
Hours may be determined based on the needs of the department but will not exceed 29 hours per week.
Internship Program Starting Rate: $13.00/hour
Main Office: 800 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA 15701
Function: Assists in preparation of data and systems to support payroll function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with record keeping duties for bi-weekly payroll processing cycle.
Assists with the initial entry and record keeping functions for the bi-weekly payroll cycle within established standards, including but not limited to initial entry and verification of new hire, terminations, transfers, promotions, etc. information into the payroll system.
Assists with the Time & Attendance segment of the bi-weekly payroll process.
Enters data into spreadsheets and databases to process and prepare reports.
Researches and resolves questions for both internal & external customers.
Assists with building and generating reporting functions within human resources information system (HRIS).
Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees in all departments. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.
Performs additional duties as required.
Physical Demands:
Use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 60% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18″-20″ for computer work. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Occasional travel may be required.
Education
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent education. In pursuit of a four-year degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related.

Salary Range:
$15.00 – $19.23
