SSP America Hiring for Regional People Leader at Ashburn, VA  Full Time

• $117,600 – $122,400 plus bonus potential of up to 20%.
• Must be able to travel as needed, +-50% of the time, throughout the US and Canada.
• Must be able to pass and maintain a criminal background check and a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) clearance.
• Must be currently in or willing to relocate to the Chicago, IL area.

The Regional People Leader will support the Midwest region of SSP America which includes the following airports: MDW, MSP, IND, CID, MKW, and MSN. The Regional People Leader will work with assigned senior operations teams to ensure proper execution of all people-processes within the region. Will act as the primary liaison for all union-related activity. Monitor/update the employment/wage & hour laws and mandates for all states/provinces in the region. Provide full HR support in the areas of employee relations, recruitment/staffing, compensation, employment law/compliance, benefits, organizational effectiveness, talent management, and training and development. Work closely with the support center teams delivering high-quality people services and special projects.

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in human resources AND eight (8) years’ HR Business Partner experience, or progressive role delivering results in a similar corporate position, preferably in the hospitality, food service/food and beverage, restaurant, or airport industry.
• Previous Union / Labor Relations experience required.
• Must have the ability to manage heavy workloads and effectively manage conflict situations leading to successful outcomes.
• Must be able to work under high pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint). HRIS system experience required. SuccessFactors experience a plus. Must be comfortable working in a digital environment.
