The Human Resources Generalist will support field managers within a specified region with day-to-day HR matters. Has experience in HR and employee relations, along with being a liaison between the field and the Corp HR team on the creation of policy, communication, implementation of HR programs, policies, and initiatives. This could report to either the VP HR, HRBP or a Sr. Mgr. of HR.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Project manage and oversee HR compliance efforts (i.e., digitizing remaining employee personnel files) and other related projects.
Assists in HR compliance projects to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance stakeholder experience.
Collaborates with COE’s to coordinate and deliver compliance related training programs.
Assists in the creation and update of existing policies and SOPs.
Oversees the relationship with JJ Keller for regulatory posters subscription.
Assists in the administration of third-party HR hotline reports (Convercent).
CID HR content ownership and maintenance.
Provides support to the HR Field and Corporate team (HR Services) as needed during ramp up and season, acquisitions and is backup support for HRBPs/HRG.
Back up support to the HRBPs/HRG in the management of employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate regional managers. HR advisory service to employees on all employee-relations matters. Conduct investigations, as needed.
Stay up to date on changes in employment laws and regulations; ensure changes are reflected in applicable HR policies and practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong project management: ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
Resourceful mindset organized and strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Excellent verbal and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize tasks when appropriate.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of relevant HR experience in human resource management preferred.
Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations and managing vendors
Project management acumen.
SHRM-CP is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Travel as necessary.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
