The Health and Welfare Analyst is responsible for supporting the C&B team with day-to-day operations – providing financial and data analytics, interfacing with the health and welfare vendors, plan actuaries and other internal and external HR partners, project management and communications assistance. The successful candidate will have the ability to utilize systems to collect, analyze and track plan and process performance measures. Outstanding problem solving and communication skills both independently and in a team environment are essential. This is hybrid position. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES + This role will work under the direction of the Senior H&W Financial Consultant to achieve the goals of the H&W team including – research, plan management, preparing reports and communications materials and utilizing analytics for efficiency and continuous improvement. + Under the direction of the senior financial consultant, this role with partner with internal HR partners, consulting resources and plan vendors to assist in plan management and development of plan cost projections for active and retiree populations. + Proactively collect and analyze data for trends and issues – compare and report findings across vendors and functions including financial and key demographic implications. + Effectively utilize project management skills to ensure that the team executes assigned projects in scope and on time – maintain/update work plans, communicating progress, etc. + Effectively communicate data, analytics and key findings to management for strategic projects, update meetings and presentations + Develop presentations and communication materials related to health and welfare benefits. + Manage day to day relationship and initiatives with wellness vendors. + Partner with peers to share best practices and identify opportunities for improvement. + Perform special projects as required to continue improving the overall customer experience. JOB REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Economics, Communication, Accounting and Finance or Business Administration preferred. SHRM or other related certification is a plus. + At least 1-3 years of experience working in a corporate setting. + Hands on experience in managing the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs. + Experience in health plan management, benefits consulting or plan administration preferred. + Demonstrated experience utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint in a professional environment. + Effective problem solver with excellent critical thinking skills: able to gather and interpret information, compare data from different sources, identify issues and root causes, and present sound options for issue resolution. + Confident and skilled to work independently as well as in a team environment. Experience developing strong, successful working relationships focused on achieving success for the team. + Demonstrates effective task and project management skills.
