Summary:
The Digital Marketing Specialist is a remote position working anywhere in the U.
S.
The position will be a strategic member of the SEG marketing team responsible for social media content, management and optimization, community development, and digital advertising campaigns.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Individual Contributor
Essential Functions:
Build and execute social media strategy through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification Write, develop, and strategize online content production and schedule Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications as needed Generate, edit, publish, and share content daily (original text, images, video, and HTML) Build meaningful connections and encourage community members through dialog and messaging Maintain Society social media pages and profiles, and assist with community admin Moderate user-generated content and messages appropriately, based on Society and community policies Create and implement social media marketing plan and editorial calendar Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes Collaborate with other departments to manage Society reputation, coordinate promotions, and increase reach Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on insights Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for Society social media and community Experience Required Minimum 2
years of experience in digital marketing and social media Proficient in content creation, strategy, Google Analytics, and paid social advertising Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase the effectiveness of social media campaigns Education, Certifications and Specialized Training Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field Google certifications are a plus Job-Specific Skills and Knowledge Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability in planning, negotiating, organizing, and marketing Excellent organizational, project management, and data analysis skills Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred but not required Strong organizational skills and analytical/quantitative abilities; multi-tasking and prioritization abilities Detail-oriented with demonstrated effective follow-through skills Basic skills and knowledge required to use MS Word and MS Excel Effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and execute projects independently while meeting simultaneous deadlines of a variety of projects Core Values (Included on all position descriptions) These are behavior characteristics identified for success as an employee at SEG.

Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
Must be capable of regular and reliable attendance.
When attendance to Society-sponsored conference(s) are required, must be capable of moving around and working on exhibit floors for extended time periods.
Employees with disabilities must meet qualification standards that are job-related and consistent with business necessity and must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
