Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Human Resources Business Partner to join our Skanska USA Building HR Team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our Atlanta & Metro Washington DC leadership teams on critical Human Resource capabilities including workforce management, recruiting, inclusion & diversity, performance management, employee relations, compensation & total rewards.

In joining our team, you will become a champion of Skanska’s culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them build, nurture, and cultivate their project and management teams and professional service groups. It will be your role to be a leader, to help develop people solutions for Skanska, and be a member of a national leadership team of Human Resources Business Partners.
This role reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is partnered directly with the respective EVPs/General Manager based in Atlanta & Metro Washington DC.
Position Details
HR Business Partner Primary Responsibilities:
Be embedded in the business leadership as a trusted advisor
Maintain a deep understanding of the business strategy and the needs of the operations
Leverages strategic approach while providing organizational support and HR services.
Works closely with EVP/GM and regional leadership and managers to provide coaching at all levels
Drives solutions-focused change throughout business
Demonstrates systemic thinking and the ability to think holistically ahead and anticipate potential implications of what is happening in the business, understanding its impacts on the organization, or parts of, and develop solutions to capitalize on/account for
Partners within and across business units to deliver the employee experience
Drives alignment with our culture and values throughout the organization
Liaison for HR-related services for employees and the business
Supports HR alignment within and across business unit by leveraging HRSS Centers of Excellence.
Directly supports the Strategy Team
Effectively communicates with all levels of the respective organization
Summarizes important points or messages, framing the message to the audience using meaningful terms and examples
Develops data-supported conclusions and action plans.
Informs the business with workforce insights that predict patterns and behavior that are linked to business performance
HR Business Partner Key Attributes:
Has the ability to easily adjust or change working style or course of action when circumstances require it, as well as the ability to determine when those circumstances are met
Is able to form and maintain strong relationships built on trust at all levels within the organization
Is able to provide expertise on all core HR related topics including workforce management, recruiting, performance management, development programs, employee relations, compensation & rewards, diversity and inclusion, etc..
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. A degree in human resources management, labor relations or a related field of studyis preferred
7+ years of experience as a HRBusinessPartner orHR Generalist experience supporting leaders in large national, regional, or global companies
3+ years of people management experience
Ability to travel up to 25%, potentially 50% at peak times.
