Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts is a public charter school for grades 9-12. SLSPA seeks to instill in its students the life skills of creativity, confidence, collaboration, communication, and leadership. We are currently seeking Substitute Teachers who are highly educated and have a general knowledge of music, theatre, or media. We’re looking for an individual who truly cares about making our school a better place for our students. This includes educating students about healthy habits as well as responding to any medical emergencies at school and performing routine screenings. The employee will respond to a call in the morning when teachers call in sick to monitor their classroom as needed. Pay is $25 per class period, up to $100.00 per day.

Responsibilities:

• Have a general knowledge of the arts.
• Be patient with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Be able to relate to students of different socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures.
• Be able to control unruly students.
• Be able to successfully manage behavior problems in the classroom.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $100.00 per day
