General Statement of Duties:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of
Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, the Student Employment Coordinator has full responsibility of the daily operations of the Student
Employment Program, including Federal Work-Study (FWS), Institutional and off-campus positions. The position serves as a resource and
provides customer service to students, parents, student employee supervisors, and community members. The successful candidate will be
relationship-driven, tactful, and possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The student employment coordinator
serves as the liaison with the university community regarding student employment job requests, job postings, job classifications and
disciplinary actions for student employees and hires and terminates all student employees using the State payroll system (HR/CMS);
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Form I-9 and tax forms for student workers as well all other necessary paperwork.
Develop resources and conduct supervisory training for community members that hire student workers. Work with student supervisors to ensure
they understand their responsibilities for the timely reporting of accurate records of time worked by students. Coordinates, maintains, and
monitors institutional student employment programs in compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines and regulations;
collaborates closely with the payroll and financial aid departments to resolve any student employment matters; manage Job Location and &
Development, Student Employee of the Year, and Student Employee Appreciation Week programs; develop and maintain relevant forms, materials,
and reports; participate in activities to support HR and student employment, such as orientation, career fairs, etc. Some early
morning/evening and weekends will be required.

Potential for Permanent Hybrid/Remote Work: The human resources department is part of a project to move some administrative functions to
a permanent remote/hybrid work model, including this position. The permanent remote/hybrid work model project is currently in Phase One.
During this phase detailed plans and policies will be developed, including the identification and provision of shared, reservable space for
the occasional on-campus work that members of department, including this position, may need to do. Applicants should be aware the position
will start out 100% remote and may remain largely remote thereafter. The university reserves the right to set the conditions and location of
the employment, including changing to a more traditional in-house work model if that is necessary to effectively meet the mission of the
university and responsibilities of this position.
Ability to work a flexible schedule according to departmental needs, which may
include occasional evenings and weekends during peak seasons.
