OPENING IN ENROLLMENT AND SPECIALIZED TESTING
POSITION: Enrollment and Specialized Testing Center
Specialist
Description of Duties: Assist the Coordinator of EAST in the operation of the Enrollment
and Specialized Testing Center. Supervises the administering and proctoring of computerized tests, including CLEP, DSST, National &
on-campus ACT, ACCUPLACER and Pearson Vue. Assists in the scoring of on-campus ACT and ASSET tests as directed using appropriate
calculations in accordance with predetermined policies and procedures. Maintain a schedule of testing appointments with the Coordinator.
Maintain a comprehensive filing system of all booklets, score sheets and testing records. Compile reports and statistical data for
monitoring and reporting. Conduct data research and prepare reports as directed. Pearson Vue is a separate certification process and testers
are in a different approved test area specific to Pearson regulations. Specialist with the Coordinator manage both the on-campus test area
in addition to the Pearson Vue test area. Pearson Vue is a company that offers certification/specialty tests for a variety of services.
These include but are not limited to cybersecurity, DOD, and education. Testers schedule through their agency or job and choose us as an
authorized test center. Maintain the Person Vue rosters for the following day, print all needed documents, and familiarize the staff with
each tester check in process. As they are all different according to the test being administered. Regular attendance is an essential
function of this position.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or equivalent. Two (2) years
related work experience. Demonstrated computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Possess effective interpersonal and communication
skills. Demonstrated effectiveness working in a team environment. Light lifting and light carrying up to 10 lbs. required. Ability to move
freely about department. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, kneeling and bending.
Desired
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Two (2) years’ experience in a higher education setting; preferably in a testing center
environment. Experience in using PeopleSoft.
