Reporting Relationships
Reports to: Emergency & Risk Mgmt Coordinator. Will work directly with VP of Human Resources, VP of Student Affairs,
Dean of Students

Job Summary:
Responsibilities include
communication with individuals who cannot pass College screening as it relates to COVID-19 as well as contact individuals who have confirmed
their positive status to execute quarantine protocol and campus re-entry protocol. Includes prioritization, prompt action, and attention to
detail in documentation and data management as multiple investigations will be conducted simultaneously. Contact tracers are required to
follow all designated scripts and comply with policies and procedures provided by the College regarding confidentiality and data security
for the handling of sensitive student and employee information and protected health information. This position will require prioritization,
prompt action, and attention to detail in documentation and data management as multiple investigations will be conducted simultaneously.
This position is part time work, with flexible shifts available seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. This position is
temporary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Additional related duties may be
assigned.
1. Initiate prompt communication with people exposed to COVID-19 (contacts) through text, phone calls, email, and other
communication platforms as necessary.
2. Employ dynamic communication and interpersonal skills, cultural
competency/sensitivity, tactful language, and empathetic interviewing skills to build rapport and maintain trust with individuals of varied
backgrounds.
3. Verify the contact’s identity during initial communications and prior to disclosing confidential information.
Assure confidentiality and carry out efforts to locate and communicate with individuals in a manner that preserves the confidentiality and
privacy of all involved.
4. Communicate and support efficient communication to identified faculty, staff, students and visitors in an
effort to increase institutional effectiveness with timely follow up.
5. Using discretion, confidentiality and ethical conduct,
systematically collect and record information in a centralized database and provide regular summary reports on outreach activity.
6.
Provide approved information and guidance on quarantine procedures and what to do if symptoms develop.
7. Coordinate referrals for
testing, healthcare, and other supportive services, as needed, per College Administrative Guidelines.
8. Document pertinent
information in COVID-19 contact tracing forms, and conduct data entry and tracking while adhering to protocols for completeness, timeliness,
and frequency.
9. Collaborate with designated college personnel to efficiently complete contact notification, monitoring assignments
and request the initiation of critical cleaning. Inform the team and supervisor when attempts to communicate with a contact are
unsuccessful. Elevate complex situations to supervisor for further guidance.
10. Review, monitor, and communicate non-compliance of
required COVID-19 testing.
11. Coordinate appropriate communication with Emergency Risk Management Coordinator as deemed
appropriate.
12. Provide weekly updates regarding positive cases on campus and number of quarantined employees and students.
13. Regular attendance is expected.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree required.
1. Major in secretarial, administrative
assisting, and/or office management or experience working in an educational environment preferred.
2. Detail oriented and ability to
be thorough and accurate in gathering information and making decisions.
3. Previous experience with policy implementation required
and contact tracing preferred.
4. Intermediate level ability with Microsoft Office required.
5. Ability to work well with
people of a diverse background in a friendly, respectful manner.
6. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
7. Strong
communication and organizational skills required.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally,
appropriately and effectively with a wide range of culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress.
9. Excellent
ability to think critically and communicate both verbally and in writing in a professional and empathetic manner.
10. Computer skills
are necessary and should include the ability to access and navigate various databases and software programs following training.
11.
Equally comfortable working individually and within a team environment that emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration.

21. Preferred qualifications: skills
in counseling/interviewing and foundational knowledge for implementing contact tracing tools and systems.
