Description Are you looking for a Senior Financial Analyst opportunity? If you’re available for long-term contract / temporary work, this could be the job for you. If you want to be our client’s primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting, this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role might be right for you. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will also perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments. This Senior Financial Analyst will be placed at the Windsor, Connecticut office.

Execute improved management reporting by working with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results
Grow business performance by identifying and executing financial analysis
Capable of communicating updates to senior management, analyzing financial results, and distilling/synthesizing key issues in the course of advancing existing management reporting
Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates
Provide assistance in ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives by working closely with the Functional leads
Create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes widely understood by all necessary teams Requirements – Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence key decision makers
Skills in critical thinking and the ability to operate effectively with management
Solid understanding of Financial Statement
Practical knowledge of Review
Financial reporting experience required
Prior experience with implementation
Earlier work involving Workstation Support
Good understanding of external auditing
Strong familiarity with Communication Skills
Hands-on experience with Closing Processes
Foundational knowledge in Methods
Expertise in reporting
Proven knowledge of analytics
Comprehension of Perform Ad Hoc Financial
Microsoft Excel experience
Experience with Capital Management
General familiarity with quality
Wide ranging experience with insurance
Solid understanding of Liaison
Experience with Calendar Management
Experience with Policy
Foundational knowledge in procedures
Previous experience working with reconciliations
Documentation experience desired
Well-founded grasp of research
Skills in Quarterly
Quality experience with auditing
Strong problem-solving skills
Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel
Required education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
Efficient with process reengineering and optimization
CPA/MBA preferred
Highly-accomplished in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
