Works under and reports to immediate supervisor.
Experience is required, at least 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. either in hotel reservations department or extensive hotel front desk experience. Excellent customer service is expected.
Ability to work with other departments within the hotel. Will at times need to assist the front desk staff. Time management skills along with multi-tasking.
Entering reservation information from 3rd parties, answering the reservations phone line, responding to emails, booking reservations directly, checking reports, and minor accounting. Skilled at learning and working with different computer software. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within an office setting.
Respond to questions via phone, fax, and email or face to face with guests.
Receives and disburses money with credit card transactions, checks or cash.
Registers guests and makes hotel room assignments.
High volume PBX and Guest services interaction.
Operation of Resort Data Processing software, various Windows and web based based programs.
Inventory control of multiple software systems.
Internet communication and navigation. May at times require exercising use of independent judgment and such other acts, responsibility, authority, or other things as are or may be necessary to fulfill the overall purpose of the job or as described by supervisor.
In addition to the above, the duties of this position include such other responsibilities and tasks as are traditionally associated with this position, or that may be assigned to this position. Must have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within an office setting using standard industry tools and hardware
