Patti’s Preschool, Inc. (www.pattispreschool.com) in Huntington Beach has a full time preschool teacher position available. $500 signing bonus when you complete 90 days of employment! You will be responsible for assisting our lead teacher in our Pre-K program as well as covering in other classrooms as needed. Summary: The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a teacher of young children and be able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency. Community Care Licensing regulations state that a qualified teacher shall have 12 units of Early Childhood Education or Child Development. The required courses need to cover the general areas of child growth and development or human growth and development; child, family and community or child and family; and program/curriculum.
Purpose of the Position: The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Job Description: Follow a provided lesson plan. Supervise play in the classroom and on the playground.
Requirements: The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a Preschool Teacher. The person must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults. 12 units or more in Early Childhood Education or Child Development are required. Fingerprint Clearance through Live Scan. Proof of MMR and Tdap immunizations
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Responsible for implementing daily curriculum activities and directing children’s play. Ensure children are supervised at all times. Discuss children’s development with parents.
Personal Attributes: Ability to maintain positive attitude and handle difficult conversations with parents. Must have a cooperative attitude that is compatible with others. Ability to be flexible and can handle frequent interruptions.
Compensation: $17.00/hr. and up depending on experience and education.
