Position Summary:
The Global IT Audit Leader manages supervisor, senior and staff auditors and technical contractors (when necessary) in the execution of global IT audit activities, across Parker’s technology infrastructure. Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating to create and manage the global IT audit methodology and coverage strategy, including strategy design, audit execution and coordination with other audit teams on key IT related controls that are tested within a variety of different audit projects
* Maintaining effective relationships with senior management
* Overseeing audit projects: supervising and coaching audit supervisors, seniors and staff auditors
* Providing for staff development through mentoring, training, and reviewing audit work
* Leading and participating in special projects
* Analyzing emerging issues; escalating risks and recommending controls to stakeholders
* Writing and editing audit issues and reports
* Assisting with Audit Committee reporting of IT related information
* Participating in compliance initiatives to minimize risk to Parker information and computing assets

This position reports to the Vice President – Audit and works with division, group, corporate management, and external auditors.
Essential Functions:
Strategy/Technical:
The Global IT Audit Leader is responsible for establishing the overall strategy for auditing assigned areas of responsibility as well as identifying and evaluating emerging areas of Information Technology and Security Risk. Responsibilities also include the creation and completion of an annual audit coverage plan. The Global IT Audit Leader is responsible for providing and supporting the audit and reporting needs of the Office of Audit and Compliance VP in all matters related to significant technology and information security issues. A critical component of this role is the ability to design global audit coverage strategies and communicate technically complex internal control issues and business risk in a clear non-technical manner.
Relationships/Communication/leadership:
The Global IT Audit Leader:
* Is responsible for the creation and maintenance of effective relationships with the senior management including but not limited to the IT Department and external auditors.
* Conducts and/or manages IT Audit training sessions for staff auditors, IT Control awareness sessions for IT Managers, and IT Security awareness sessions for Compliance Officers and IT Audit Managers.
* Is expected to conduct annual risk assessments with the Global IT Executives and communicate key information to them quarterly.
* Is expected to collaborate on various projects, globally, with Parker management, as requested.
* Is expected to provide leadership to the team and audit department on promoting the goals and the culture of Parker Including the recognition of individual performance and contributions.
Staff Development:
The Global IT Audit Leader will be responsible for developing, coaching, and mentoring audit supervisor, seniors and staff. In addition, the development and maintenance of effective staff skills, competencies and behaviors necessary to perform high quality audit work in a very large scale and technically complex environment are integral components of the role. The attention to staff development and promulgation of Parker’s core values including the commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse work environment are important performance factors.
Qualifications:
15 year plus track record of increasing responsibility and a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. At least 8 years of experience in Information Technology IT Audit, or IT Risk management. A broad knowledge and understanding of core technology processes (e.g., change management, configuration management. access management, security administration, technology risk management and governance, IT Operations).
Mature planning, organizing and directing skills to include relationship and teaming ability through excellent listening and communication skills; self-awareness, conflict resolution skills, individual accountability and passion for learning are critical. Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. Ability to travel as needed, up to 20%.
BA or BS degree with course work in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Business, or related discipline is required. MBA or Master of Technology Degree and related professional certification (e.g., CISA, CIA, CISSP, CISM among others) is preferred.
