The Position
As Architect assigned to one of the Agile Release Trains (ART), you would be responsible for creating technical alignment within ART to develop solution vision and roadmap, reference architecture, enabler capabilities and the Architectural Runway in the ART.
You would provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams in ART focusing on HPC Infrastructure, MLOPS, Observability, Containerization etc. helping to standardize & modernizing practices and tools & platforms, while developing & keeping alignment with architecture principles and guidelines.
Relationships
Reports to the Director of Architecture, DD&IT-RED division at HQ but may also have a local site Director in USA. Regularly interacts with Business Stakeholders such as Head of AI and Principal Scientists, bridges with HPC Product Owner and HPC & Containerization Engineering teams and assists the Director of Architecture in maintaining alignment on overall Architecture and HPC Strategy. No direct reports: this is an Individual Contributor role.

Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in technology/Computer Science/High Performance Computing or similar discipline required. Masters Degree preferred.
A minimum of 12+ years of experience working with high performance computing within cloud infrastructure, containerization, and MLOPS.
Experience with Bioinformatics Engineering and/or Genomics in R&D/R&ED Technology space highly preferred for this role.
Proven experience as HPC & Cloud Architect in designing, deploying, and managing multi-cloud & hybrid infrastructure environments (AWS preferred).
Strong knowledge of on-pre and cloud technologies, storage, parallel processing, and scientific computing frameworks.
Experience in scripting and automation tools for infrastructure management to be able to guide and collaborate with Engineering teams working in ART (Agile Release Train).
