The Technology and User Services (TUS) group in RX is driven to help users use tools effectively to improve productivity and foster innovation. We deliver excellence in lab technology and support services to enable a secure and frictionless digital user experience. Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for providing services to a GxP lab computing environment which demands uninterrupted service in a state-of-the-art biomedical research center. Specific emphasis of the role includes building and supporting specialized GxP lab computing platforms, installing and configuring scientific applications, customizing system configurations to meet and exceed scientific demands.
In this role you will lead all regulatory compliance activities, ensure standards and policies for GxP products/services including proper system risk management, change control management and system qualification or validation.
•Lead projects with measurable business results through the delivery and onsite support of lab technology solutions and capabilities for scientists in a GxP lab environment.
•Provide technical expertise for the planning and definition of new system requirements during the evaluation, selection and implementation of lab systems related to vendor supplied software packages/instrumentation systems.
•Ensure adherence to Novartis global Information Security and Quality standards and policies for all products/services.
•Ensure Regulatory Compliance (e.g. GLP & GCP) standards and policies for GxP products/services.
•Responsible for leading and executing proper system risk management, change control management and system qualification or validation for GxP lab systems.
•Work collaboratively with other IT groups, interact daily with BR scientists, external partners and vendors.
•Create, track and close Lab IT service tickets while delivering an excellent customer service experience with professionalism and confidence.
•Consult with various vendors and customer levels to advise new and improved solutions that will streamline and/or expedite the delivery of improved laboratory research and its supporting business applications/processes.
•Research / evaluate, architecting, testing, and provide third tier onsite support for all aspects of Lab IT.
This opportunity is located at the Novartis Cambridge (MA) site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Relocation assistance is not available.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $130,400 and $195,600 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Role Requirements
•5+ years of experience with excellent understanding of research processes and scientific information systems and how they relate to drug discovery or drug development environments.
•In depth experience in all GxP related activities including risk management, change control, system qualification, regulation and compliance.
•Excellent understanding and practical experience integrating enterprise components to deliver end-to-end solutions for specific research processes in a GxP lab environment.
•Experience in Biotech or Biopharma industry specifically in Lab IT service management, lab infrastructure client management, scientific product management.
•Experience in bio-analytical laboratories and workflows with in-depth Lab IT knowledge supporting scientific instrumentation systems such as Softmax Pro, SpectraMax MSD, QuanStudio, BioRad, BDFacsLyric, Via-Cell, Nanolab, Xcalibur.
•Proven capability interacting with scientists in a complex global research organization.
•Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with laboratory staff, IT teams, and external vendors.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
