As the Associate Director, BFSF/FMV you will be responsible for managing and streamlining the existing Bona-fide Service Fee (BFSF)/Fair Market Value (FMV) processes, systems and analytics in collaboration with business stakeholders, embodying Sandoz’ values and behaviors, to support all Finance governance activities.
Your additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
•Assist in maintaining and enhancing processes to remain in compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations on fair market value and bona-fide assessments
•Manage compliance processes and systems for Sandoz operating divisions in the U.S. pertaining to fee for service arrangements with Commercial entities (e.g., Specialty Pharmacies, Wholesalers/Distributors, PBMs, GPOS, HUBs, Copay vendors, etc.)
•Review new contracts and amendments to assess fee structures; execute BFSF test and review with stakeholders in finance and contracting
•Coordinate with external vendor on FMV assessments
•Assist in maintaining collaborative platforms and shared drive with all processes, business rules and documents relating to BFSF activities
•Monitor and streamline interfaces between the different stakeholders in Finance
•Work with cross-functional/cross-divisional teams, updating them on a regular basis for developments and progress made with the BFSF/FMV process
•Assist with maintaining all Work Process Documents (WPDs) and remain in compliance with all pertinent WPDs
•Ensure BFSF/FMV compliance with the Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) requirements, including documentation and records retention
•Work with Director and other team members to provide communications and training as needed across the organization
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $151,200 and $226,800/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.What you’ll bring to the role:
•Bachelor’s or equivalent 4-Year University degree required, preferably in Finance/Accounting. Master’s degree, MBA or CPA preferred
•A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Contracting, Accounting, or Finance preferably within Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
•Prior experience with contracts, assessing fees, contract structure, etc. in the healthcare managed market space is required
•Experience conducting financial analysis/valuations, preferably fair market value and/or bonafide service fee analysis of healthcare business, compensation, and various service agreements for management planning and regulatory compliance purposes
•Strong customer orientation with ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with Associate Director / Director levels, across the organization
•Proactive mind-set and ability to execute multiple assignments simultaneously
•Strong communication and influencing skills with an ability to challenge status quo and propose alternatives
•Experience in analytical / visualization tools (QlikSense/Alteryx) preferred
This opportunity is located at the Sandoz Princeton, NJ site, and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.
