Overall Description:
The Executive Director/Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Chief of Staff will play a crucial role in driving the strategic vision and operational excellence of the CTO organization.- The role will report directly to our company CTO and be instrumental in running the “engine room” of the organization, including but not limited to financials, OKR’s and organizational performance, talent, communications & change management.- The role will also drive the correct balance of interfacing with various company-wide initiatives and IT transformation efforts with which the CTO will be plugged in along with all other divisional IT teams.-
The CTO organization drives capabilities centrally to be leveraged by the rest of IT and the divisions to drive innovation, reusability and ultimately better business outcomes throughout our company.- Primary areas in the CTO organization include

This role will work closely with the CTO organization and drive operational direction for the CTO organization.- This organization includes ~550 employees, various contractors, and ~10 value teams spread across the US, Prague and Singapore.- This role will be part of the CTO Leadership Team and will join the current members who range in level from Associate Vice President to Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with the CTO leaders to develop and implement the organization’s strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives and the overall IT strategy efforts. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and technologies that can drive innovation and provide a competitive advantage.-
Drive Talent and Product Model Transformation: In close coordination with company-wide IT initiatives, a lign the CTO organization’s roadmap with the company’s business strategy & the company-wide IT transformation Strategy.- Develop and drive CTO talent transformation plans, including key talent insourcing, strategic sourcing, DE&I, and upskilling to meet talent and financial goals.- Drive DE&I Initiatives, and serve as CTO SPOC for DE&I.- Plug in with peers and take point on being the single point of contact (“SPOC”) with other divisions effectively for various IT-wide transformation efforts underway.
Financial Management: Take ownership of the $150 million technology budget, working closely with the CTO to allocate resources effectively and prioritize investments in alignment with business objectives. -Navigate through business case planning process and own ongoing talent LROP plan vs. actual.- Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial reports to the CTO and executive leadership.- Find pro-active ways to innovate how we report and share this data.

Performance Management: Oversee key CTO OKR’s and associated management processes and frameworks, ensuring we are taking action on the telemetry the OKR’s provide.- Provide guidance and support to project teams, monitoring progress, and addressing any obstacles or risks that may arise.- More importantly surface and drive improvements from the unique vantage point of seeing across all other CTO leaders.
Communication and Change Management: Prepare and deliver the CTO messaging strategy within and outside the CTO organization, including high-quality presentations, reports, and communications on behalf of the CTO.- Provide insights and updates to leadership team and overall organization.- Fully leverage communications forums and platforms include orchestrating Town Halls, yammer posts, LinkedIn information, etc.- Also lead change management efforts, taking advantage of our current change agent network that is in place but also innovate and take our change management to the next level.- Develop and maintain effective communication channels to enhance transparency and information sharing across IT divisions.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CTO, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, department heads, clients, and vendors. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the CTO’s office and other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management: Both within and external to the CTO organization, a critical key to success will be the ability to build collaborative working relationships across leaders.- Within the team this will be key to keeping the team aligned to the organization’s strategic objectives and externally this role will be able to significantly influence our organization’s involvement as a strategic partner with the rest of the company.- Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in influencing and collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
Organizational Vision and Alignment: – Upon arrival, the Head of CTO operations will focus on the optimal organization for the function.- That is, some existing teams will move to report to this role, as well as other possible changes which will be up to the leader’s discretion once they officially start.-
Leadership and Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and provide leadership in a complex and fast-paced environment. Strong decision-making skills with the capacity to prioritize effectively and drive initiatives to successful completion.- Influencer of key strategic direction setting efforts including weighing in on our innovation function, AI strategy, and overall Enterprise Architecture thoughts.
Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial analysis, with the ability to effectively provide forward looking and historical assessment of dollars and resources and make data-driven decisions to maximize return on investment.- Focus on effective and accurate forecasting and estimate at complete modified to be applicable to agile development.- This aspect of the role will also include taking point on coordination of CTO’s involvement with the various financial processes within the company including QBR, ECC, budgeting, headcount LROP, etc.
Ability to Learn Necessary Technology Detail Rapidly: While not a hands on technology role, working and basic knowledge of technologies in play within the CTO organization will be a necessity.- It is critical that the CTO head of operations speaks a language that business and other IT partners can understand, while still communicating technical details and why they are important.
Operational Excellence: Experience in optimizing operational processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity. Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions for the CTO organization that drive operational excellence.
Project Management: Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, ensuring timely delivery, and managing risks and issues effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Education:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, technology, or engineering is required.
Preferred Education:
A master’s degree in a related discipline, such as business administration (MBA) or technology management. Relevant certifications in project management, leadership, or related areas would be an advantage.

Expected salary range:
$213,280.00 – $335,700.00
