About the Department |
Talent Acquisition and Employment within NC State University Human Resources is comprised of four teams: Talent Acquisition, International Employment, Executive Search Services (ESS), and University Temporary Services (NC State and UNC-Chapel Hill offices). Collectively, we are responsible for ensuring that NC State is able to effectively recruit, hire, and employ a talented workforce to support the advancement of NC State University’s mission, vision, goals, and strategic initiatives. The Talent Acquisition and Employment team is responsible for administering, overseeing, and managing effective recruitment and employment programs for faculty, staff, and temporary employees. We provide services and consultation to campus & community customers involved in the recruitment & selection processes, affecting approximately 4,000 staff (SHRA) and 4000 faculty & professional (EHRA) positions; provide technical & strategic/targeted recruitment for vacancies in order to attract, retain, and develop a workforce that will effectively carry out the University’s mission; recruit for approximately 1500 vacancies annually; ensure compliance with University, State, and Federal regulations; and promote the University as an employer of choice. |
Essential Job Duties |
The Recruiter position reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager and partners with Talent Acquisition consultants to guide hiring managers through the recruitment process ensuring that candidate pools at NC State include a sufficient volume of well-qualified candidates. In this role you will seek out (source), engage, and recruit talent for a wide variety of NC State career opportunities across staff, faculty and administrator roles. Your partnership with campus stakeholders will help identify current and future workforce talent needs for hard-to-fill and high priority vacancies including where the applicant pool is limited due to unique skill sets needed for the position. Minimum Education and Experience |
Graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of progressively responsible experience analyzing, interpreting, applying, communicating and promoting HR best practices in the context of organizational goals and objectives; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions. |
