Summary
This resource will serve as our SAP Commercial IT Lead – Model N on key technology initiative’s during implementation and post Go-live, primary focus on new SAP ERP implementation in 22/23. This role will partner with Company Core IT team and focus on the technology supporting the Order to Cash processes. Company operates and maintains a portfolio of commercial operation systems responsible for Quoting, Ordering, Shipping-Receiving-Traceability- and Reporting on all inventory and distribution activities across the company. Specifically- this role will be the primary project resource focused on the design, implementation, and integration of Model N transactions. The candidate is expected to perform high-quality project work for his/her stakeholders, continue to build the SAP capability at Company and foster its continued growth within Company’s Organization. Some of the functions attached to this role are Govt pricing and Royalties, Rebates Calculations, Payments and Accrual Management, and Contract and Pricing Management. Vistex and/or Model N experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Facilitate the implementation and support of Model N
Working with Model N’s product management teams to perform detailed analysis of Model N business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document Company requirements
Communicate Company’s Model N requirements effectively with Model N product management and engineering teams.
Map Company’s business requirements, processes, and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy Company’s needs.
Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements
Design, customize, configure and testing of Model N
Identify gaps, issues, and work around solutions.
Lead Company and its partners through the definition and design phases of an implementation process, including analyzing current business processes, documenting configuration and extension requirements for the application as well as data and integration requirements, and produce functional requirement documents.
Identify business and technical issues throughout the project that could impact requirements, scope, or schedule and work with the project manager to identify potential solutions.
Work with the technical team members during the construction and test phases of the project to clarify issues, manage and document changes when needed, and drive the functional testing by the customer business resources.
Document functional designs, test cases and results.
Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements
Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required
Ability to work independently, effectively coordinating multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing environment and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Continually assess the impact of emerging SAP technologies against strategic business needs and interpret business value for the IT management.
Develop productive relationships with business across the organization to influence how SAP
Commercial Operation applications can enable new sources of value.
Execute methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall) and practices for the application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-divisional and cross-functional environment.
Update and maintain all SAP/WRICEF functional documentation
Conduct Unit tests, Integration tests, and Regression tests
Good understanding of Life Sciences guidelines including GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11 etc..
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Maintain knowledge of compliance and ensure all work activities are conducted within the regulatory requirements, related policies and procedures, and corporate objectives
Responsible for executing good development and documentation practices
Effectively evaluate and shift priorities appropriately based on multiple considerations and changing demands
Assist in training and knowledge sharing for areas of expertise with other colleagues
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with an emphasis on Life Sciences commercial contracting
Expertise and experience within the following areas: Pricing Strategy, Contract Authoring and Price
Management, Contract Management, Royalties, Chargebacks, Rebates Calculations, Payment, Accrual
Management and Contract Compliance required
Life Sciences industry experience implementing Model N preferred
Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle and process improvement methodologies, including iterative development practices
Commitment to requirements management practices with the ability to control project scope
Excellent oral and written skills for use in writing detailed business requirements and presenting solutions to other team members and Model N personnel
Experience with enterprise software implementations either with an enterprise software company or a systems integrator or consulting organization a plus
Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving capabilities in applying practices and procedures to project need
Experience with business process modeling and process improvement
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply processes and methodologies
Understanding of web technologies. Knowledge of SAP, web application servers a plus
Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry is a major plus
Must be able to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
Agile methodology knowledge is a plus
Experience with SalesForce.com is preferred
