The Human Resource Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the Human Resource functions of the company are well supported. They spend their time ensuring employee information is accurately accounted for in the system and provide a wide array of support within the HR department
PRIMARY EXPECTATIONS:
· Heavily assists with the recruiting function for the company
· Prepares new employee files
· Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
· Assists HR Leaders with various research projects and/or special projects
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
· Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees
· Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books
· Heavily assists with the recruiting function for the company
· Conducts audits of various HR programs
· Assists with processing of terminations
· Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms
· Assists HR Leaders with various research projects and/or special projects
· Assists with recruitment and interview process
· Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files
· Assists or prepares correspondence
· Prepares new employee files
· Assists with entering new employees into the HRIS
· Processes mail
Performs other duties as assigned by the Human Resource Director
Position Requirements
· Must have a High School Diploma. Associate’s degree preferred.
· 2+ Years of Human Resource related experience.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Experience using and maintaining an HRIS.
· Acceptable results on a criminal background screening.
· Drug Screen Test with a negative result.
