Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill a Direct Hire Shipping & Receiving Specialist opening with a company in Burnsville, MN. Interested candidates should have 3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse setting, have a current forklift certification & basic computer skills.

Shipping & Receiving Specialist Job Description:

• Performs quality inspections on all incoming & outgoing products & materials
• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas
• Maintains inventory; conducts cycle counts & annual physical inventory count
• Replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed
• Pulls inventory for production & stages appropriately, notifying purchasing of discrepancies
• Pulls inventory for sales order fulfillment & notes any backorder quantities
• Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports, tracks email correspondence & updates inventory in QuickBooks
• Identifies, documents & implements processes for continuous improvements
• Checks suppliers’ packing list counts & reports discrepancies and/or damage to carrier & Materials Manager
• Ensures that custom parts match prints & reports discrepancies to Materials Manager
• Packages material for shipment appropriately, builds pallets if needed
• Arranges pickups with a variety of carriers according to customers’ preferences

Shipping & Receiving Specialist Job Requirement:

• Current Forklift license
• 3+ years of inventory control experience
• 3+ years of Shipping and receiving in a warehouse setting
• Basic usage of hand tools and power tools
• Comfortable with metric system; able to use a tape measure
• Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks a plus
• High school education or equivalent

The starting salary for the Shipping & Receiving Specialist position is $20.00-$25.00+ per hour DOE.
