This is a full – time, day shift position. The hours of work are generally Monday – Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Days of work and hours can vary due to assigned cases. The person hired for this position will have an office in Faribault, Minnesota. Alternate work sites may also be considered. Upon hire employees will be required to complete a telework agreement.
The Community Support Services Southeast Mobile team provides services and requires frequent travel in the following counties: Nicollet, LeSueur, Rice, Goodhue, Wabasha, Blue Earth, Waseca, Steele, Dodge, Olmsted, Winona, Faribault, Freeborn Mower, Fillmore, & Houston. When a State-owned vehicle is not available and an employee is required to use their personal automobile to conduct authorized State business, the employee will be reimbursed at the current Federal IRS mileage reimbursement rate.
The Clinical Behavioral Consultant provides advanced behavioral health services including assessment, clinical consultation, person-centered support recommendations and training for individuals referred to Community Support Services. The individuals served have complex behavioral health challenges. In order to assist providers and other professionals involved in the individuals’ support network, the Clinical Behavioral Consultant develops and provides individualized, multidisciplinary training and technical assistance. With each interaction, the Clinical Behavioral Consultant strives to help these providers enhance their abilities to manage difficult behavioral and system issues; assist care providers to increase the stability of clinically complex individuals’ community living; and divert revocations of provisional discharges when safely possible. Given the integrated nature of Community Support Services work, the Clinical Behavioral Consultant functions as a generalist and provides consultation as needed to colleagues with complementary expertise; the Clinical Behavioral Consultant integrates multidisciplinary expertise to facilitate positive outcomes for clinically complex individuals.

Every person needs the support of others. Community Based Services provide person centered support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, brain injury and other emotional, behavioral and medical complexities.
We offer both vocational services and residential housing. Vocational services provide a wide range of individualized vocational training, support, and community integration as well as whole life options for individuals including vocational assessment and job development; job tryouts, shadows, placements and coaching; and volunteer/community integration opportunities. The residential short and long term housing program offers housing and supports to individuals throughout the state of Minnesota who require ongoing staff support/intervention due to cognitive disabilities, medical conditions, physical challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorders, various behavior challenges, and/or lack of adequate survival skills.
This position is located with the Community Support Services division of CBS. Community Support Services provides individualized clinical consultation and technical assistance. Nine mobile teams across the state strengthen the community living of people with clinically complex challenges.
