PROJECT METRO ALTERNATIVE CERTICATION (P-MAC) is a teaching alternative certification program specifically designed to address areas of need within Milwaukee Public School (MPS). In partnership with Cardinal Stritch university, an intern, with the support of a selected professional educators will fill teacher positoins in the area of mathematics, science, or special education. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn their master’s degree along with their certification through Cardinal Stritch University. Interns must commit to the educational program and be dedicated to the success of students in MPS.
Applicants must submit official transcripts conferring a BA degree and three letters of recommendation. (NOTE: all receommendatoin letters must be signed by their author, dated, and not over one (1) year old).

As of November 1, 2021, all MPS employees are required to be fully vaccinated. The health and safety of our staff and students is our number one priority.
