Methodist University seeks applicants for a 12month, full-time, tenure-track appointment to begin July 2024. The
Department Chair will provide guidance, vision, and stewardship of the department’s programs and activities to shape the direction of
CHSHS and contribute to its success. The Department Chair supports the mission of CHSHS and the university by promoting high quality
educational programs, scholarship, as well as professional, community, and university service. The position includes oversight of the
developing Bachelor of Science Occupational Therapy Assistant program and fully accredited Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, with
direct administration and management as the OTD program director. The position includes teaching graduate level occupational therapy courses
in the applicant’s area of expertise.
Methodist University is a private comprehensive institution grounded in the tradition of
liberal arts. The Program is located in the Thomas R. McLean Health Sciences Building. The 38,800 square foot, contemporary facility has
innovative classroom and laboratory spaces, research facilities, and an outdoor functional mobility courtyard to allow faculty to engage in
hands-on learning activities and research agendas. Our program engages in active collaboration and learning with the DPT, Nursing, Physician
Assistant, Social Work, and developing School of Medicine programs.
