Reporting to the Director of Accounting this position is responsible for performing cost accounting functions. This includes analysis of orders to ensure that costs are applied appropriately in a timely and accurate manner; allocation of paper costs utilizing third party vendor reports; follow up with production team and other departments on any issues arising in the processes; executing month end closing procedures; reconciliations of various subledgers to general ledger accounts; preparation, review and distribution of various cost reports. This position will utilize available technologies and standard procedures to perform functions as effectively and efficiently as possible.

2-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting roles
Understanding of Cost Accounting processes
Solid Understanding of US GAAP
Advanced Excel (including ability to work with large data sets)
Proficiency with SAP, and Analysis for Office (AO) is a plus
Effective communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Publishing experience is a plus
This role will have an annual salary of $75,000 – $85,000.
