This position will primarily support the Ivy Street School; therefore, experience in a special education school environment is desired. This position and will also provide a wide variety of HR life-cycle services to other, smaller departments. Major emphasis on onboarding, compliance, process improvement, ADP adoption, HRIS data maintenance, and training support:
° The Ivy Street School: A year-round, private day and residential special education school serving up to 50 students committed to advancing equity and access for young people living with disabilities. We serve neurodiverse adolescents ages 13-22. We support the whole child through a student-first model that is driven by collaboration, a willingness to think big, and a commitment to knowing our students well.
° MABVI: The Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired provides vision rehabilitation and support services to more than 1,400 adults and elders each year. Programs include low vision centers, peer support groups, 1:1 volunteer assistance, in-home rehabilitation training, and assistive technology training.
° Other Administrative Departments such as IT, Finance, Development.
You will perform a diverse set of duties each day to meet employee needs, requiring: excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to interact with and support management and staff at all levels; strong time management awareness, ensuring completion of all duties; keeping up to date on HR laws, policies and regulations; and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, positive, resourceful and efficient.
You will also collaborate with other HR team members to be successful and share knowledge. Appropriate training and orientation will be provided, as needed.
MAB HR is in the process of implementing many ADP Workforce Now modules so prior experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and Enhanced Time and Attendance (or Kronos Workforce Central) is required. You will be an integral collaborator in the roll-out and adoption of these modules.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contribute to making MAB an employer of choice by partnering with your HR colleagues and the departments you serve in support of both our mission and the professional development and success of our employees.
2. As a member of the MAB HR team, provide broad HR life-cycle support to our colleagues, utilizing HR and MAB best practices.
3. Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and Enhanced Time & Attendance (or Kronos Workforce Central) to ensure accurate and timely documentation of employee information.
4. Advance the adoption of various ADP WFN modules: Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance, Benefits, and Cloud storage, as well as manager and employee self-service.
5. Serve as a liaison for our Learning Management System (LMS), in collaboration with our Director of Training.
6. Provide support in the areas of recruitment, new hire requirements, on-boarding, orientation, and job descriptions. Coordinate with other colleagues and departments to deliver a smooth onboarding process and an exceptional new hire experience.
7. Consult on issues related to HR compliance, policies, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and other HR issues, working closely with HR Management and the Senior Business Partner and others.
8. Complete administrative tasks, including data entry into ADP and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
9. Provide backup services related to employee status changes like pay rate, job title, promotion, etc.
10. Utilize ADP and Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, word, excel, and SharePoint to support program administration and decision making.
11. Assist with various regulatory audits and accreditation reviews throughout the year.
12. Continuously look for ways to improve and automate current processes to ensure efficient and accurate data management. Recommend changes to HR management.
13. Work collaboratively and proactively with other members of the HR team and those you support.
14. Respond to requests for verification of past/present employment; mortgage verifications; etc.
15. Cross train to ensure coverage of all tasks, as needed.
16. Support special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field plus three (3) or more years of related experience. ADP Workforce Now and Enhanced Time & Attendance (or Kronos Workforce Central) required.
Skills:
° Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Enhanced Time & Attendance (or Kronos Workforce Central) required.
° Basic understanding of Federal and State related regulations, such as FMLA, MPFML, and ADA.
° Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint).
° Basic understanding of HR compliance and related requirements
° Experience with programs regulated by the State of MA such DESE, EEC, and CARF desired. (Will train)
° Serve as HR Liaison in a professional and collaborative manner
