Position Summary
This position is a non-exempt (hourly) position that provides IT and technology solutions and support for all the life safety and security systems for the Campus Safety Department. ESS&T supports a large Avigilon enterprise camera surveillance system, fire alarm, intrusion and panic alarm systems, a large enterprise level Software House C-Cure 9000 access control system, along with several other key systems. This position reports directly to the Manager of Electronic Security Systems and Technology. Due to the critical nature of this position and its support of a 24×7 unit, after-hour support on occasion may be required. It is a non-uniformed position that is responsible for the installation, maintenance/repair and service for the fire alarms and intrusion alarms owned and operated by the University of Denver. The position assists in the design and installation of card access and CCTV systems, as well as the service and maintenance of these systems.
The position requires that the applicant possess verifiable technical experience with installing and programming intrusion alarms, card access and CCTV systems. The position requires the applicant to maintain a working relationship with other service Departments (i.e. IT, Telephone Services, Facility Management, etc.) to assist in the completion of special projects. The position requires the applicant to work on-call for emergencies on a 24/7 basis on a rotating schedule with a response to the campus on emergency call-outs within 2 hours after notification. The position requires the applicant maintain a clean driving record in accordance with the University of Denver driving policies. This position requires direct input of operational data into the C-Cure card access system. This position requires programming of the Avigilon camera surveillance system.

Salary Grade Number
The salary grade for the position is 9.
Hourly Range
The hourly range for the position is $26.34 – $28.74.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
