Lexicon Consulting Hiring for Customer Service Representative – Manufacturing Job at Mount Airy, NC Full Time

Lexicon Consulting is currently seeking a Customer Services Representative (CSR) with our client in the manufacturing industry in their Mt Airy, NC location. This is an hourly, full time position.

Summary:

Provide excellent professional support services in dealing with the company’s customers, ensuring that inquiries about products, orders placed for products, and complaints are addressed professionally.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process/enter orders from customers
• Update or create customer records and continuously verify that it is correct
• Review orders for completeness and forward incomplete orders for further processing
• File copies of orders received, or post orders on records/systems
• Provide information directly or through systems to specific departments or units to prepare and ship orders to designated customers. May involve the handling of freight traffic control, such as normal and special scheduling to customers and several warehouses, rate quotes, damage and delivery claims/issues, etc.
• Ensure that customer inquiries or complaints are resolved at first point of contact, unless specialized knowledge or further investigation is required
• Assess inquiries, requests and complaints; provide information about products or services, receiving or entering orders, cancelling accounts or obtaining details of complaints
• Maintain records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken in the appropriate system (CRM/ERP)
• Payables – receiving and processing payments made and resolving inquiries
• General administrative support including responding to calls and inquiries from the general public, processing mail/messages/deliveries, participating in audit and inventory activities, sending/copying/transmitting documents, generating reports
• Scheduling freight/deliveries, working with production/sales reps

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, and 2 years’ experience in customer service or order entry
• Excellent customer support, phone presence, communications skills
• Knowledgeable in MS Office (excel nd outlook) and writing correspondence
• Data and Order entry experience
• Problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, efficient, team player.

The associate is required to wear PPE when entering manufacturing and warehouse areas, restricted areas, or areas designated with specific PPE requirements; and performing tasks that require PPE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
