The Associate Director of Employer Engagement will develop and manage external employer relationships and expand the range of new partnerships and new initiatives. The Associate Director will work with the Employer Engagement team to advance the growth of the Lehigh brand in the local, regional and national job market, and strategically engage employers and organizations that best match Lehigh academic programs and students’ interests and abilities. This position supports the University’s return on investment and historically strong first destination outcomes. 1. Strategic Outreach and Development
*Develop and manage ongoing relationships with companies and organizations, domestically and internationally, in specific areas that lead to employment or internships opportunities for students
*Cultivate relationships with employers interested in hiring students from diverse backgrounds into full-time and internship positions
*Acquire new employer relationships based on hiring and student interest data and identify new opportunities to increase employment opportunities
*Assist leadership with developing employer relations and recruitment strategies
*Network with alumni and other sources within specific areas to strengthen and broaden relationships that support students
*Serve as primary employer engagement liaison with the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Health and/or the College of Business and P.C.Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science for coordinating events and disseminating information related to employer engagement and recruiting
*Execute innovative outreach strategies that will strengthen, sustain and broaden relationships with employers to support students
*Coordinate with employer partners to conduct on-campus, virtual, remote or hybrid employer focused events, info sessions, on-campus interviews, etc.
*Assist employers with campus outreach and connections to students, including promotion of opportunities, virtual and in-person interviews, participation internship and direct hire placement and other employer needs
2. Project Management
*Serve as a Project Manager for networking events and initiative-based programs that support student-led clubs and organizations engagement with employer partners
*Support virtual and on-campus recruiting efforts in conjunction with college liaisonship
*Co-facilitate planning and execution of two annual career expos to connect students and employers
*Lead the execution of communication strategy for outreach to employers
*Create content for social media and internal communication related to employers, hiring events and hiring outcomes, with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion
*Assist with promotional materials for on-campus recruiting, information sessions and hiring events
3. Program Promotion and Assessment
*Serve as The Center for Career and Professional Development employer engagement liaison to targeted campus groups/communities
*Collaborate with key campus partners to share information regarding employer partners and targeted programming for students
*Develop programs that connect alumni and students to promote awareness of industries, companies and organizations within students’ career interest areas
*Participate on various cross-functional teams to promote the vision and direction of The Center for Career and Professional Development
*Represent Lehigh and The Center for Career and Professional Development in local and national professional associations and conferences in order to stay current with higher education and employer/industry trends, revise programs to reflect trends and increase the center’s visibility among professionals in the field
*Establish metrics to track engagement and outcome levels to determine progress of employer engagement
*Work collaboratively and meet frequently with key college faculty, staff, alumni and students to assess and market programs and to provide data on recruiting services and student employment
*Continuously market programs and events to employers to encourage participation; leverage employer and alumni relationships to support the programs and activities coordinated by The Center for Career and Professional Development
*Other Duties as assigned
