Job Summary: Core responsibilities of this position include:
The Pathway Coordinator is a full-time,
benefited, position with a Category C/Level 5 Faculty assignment (206 duty days per academic year.) This position is the academic leader
with primary responsibility for the direction of the assigned Pathway. This responsibility includes specific requirements for the
administration, assessment/evaluation, student support, community outreach, and maintenance of internal and external partnerships as they
pertain to the Pathway.
Serving as a manager, collaborator, and teacher, the Coordinator leads the assigned Pathway to promote
student success and advance the College’s mission and values. The primary responsibilities of the Pathway Coordinator include but are
not limited to: Overall coordination of the Pathway as a community of interest; oversight and management of the Pathway-specific degree
program; coordination and instruction of Pathway-specific student success courses; collaboration, support, and facilitation of Essential
Student Experiences program requirements.

Organizational
Relationship:
The Pathway Coordinator performs all of the indicated functions and other duties as directed by the School
Dean, Vice President of Academic Affairs, or the President or designee. This position has a highly collaborative relationship with multiple
campus departments and personnel including Faculty, Pathway Advisor, Pathway Mentor, academic and other key staff, and students.

Compensation: This is a Faculty 5, 11-month position, salary placement $75,346.

Pathway Administration
Functions
The Pathway Coordinator is charged with the administration of an individual Pathway within a specific school.
While this position is classified as faculty, much of the responsibilities pertain to the overall management of an individual Pathway.
Specifically, the Pathway Coordinator builds community within the Pathway and works with students, faculty, support staff, and
community/industry representatives to provide the best opportunity for student success. Responsibilities with this administrative function
of the role include the following:

Pathway Faculty Function
Pathway Coordinators are faculty, and as such they have expectations for the fulfillment
of instructional responsibilities associated with their role, as well as the requirement to demonstrate the behavioral competencies expected
of all LCCC faculty. These functional and behavioral responsibilities include teaching 12 credits per year, prioritized as Pathway-specific
STRT 1000 (some teaching may be general STRT or other 1000-level courses within the Pathway) as detailed below:
Teaching and
Learning
In fulfilling the teaching responsibilities of this position, employ student-centered teaching practices coupled with
the development and use of appropriate and current educational materials to maximize student engagement and success, as well as supporting
different perspectives and engaging the diversity of students in the classroom toward educational and democratic ends.
Competency-Based Design
Apply competency-based design to the development of curriculum, specifically STRT 1000 courses
and the Pathway Degree Program. Engage with colleagues at the course, program, and institutional level with the aim of continuous
improvement.
Professionalism and Service
Serve the institution by collaborating and actively reflecting on responsibilities to
positively contribute to one’s discipline, Pathway, the College, and the greater community.
Nonessential
Functions: An employee in this position may perform some of these responsibilities on an infrequent basis.
