Job Summary:
The Outreach Coordinator (OC) reports to the Director of the Excelencia Center. The OC will work 30 hours per week. The Outreach Coordinator will assist with all Title V student success initiatives, assist with community outreach and serve as an assistant for the Peer Mentor program. The OC will assist with school programs and work to develop community outreach opportunities. The OC will assist with executing outreach through communication and advertisement. The OC will work closely with Title V staff and stay up to date with Title V programs. Other duties as assigned. The grant position is for a one and a half-year time period. Title V grant is a five-year grant awarded by the Department of Education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree required with related experience in the field.
Experience as a Peer Mentor and Summer bridge program.
Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
Communicate information to diverse audiences in simple and engaging terms.
Respond to students, faculty and staff in a professional manner.
Establish effective working relationships with others.
Promote a positive campus image.
Follow established college policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred from an accredited college or university.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
High level of competency in Microsoft Office and experience with Blackboard.
SALARY :
$27,000 Annual Salary, Plus Excellent Benefits
