Job Summary:
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness reports to the President and works collaboratively with the Director of Institutional Research. The Director is responsible for the development and management of a systematic program for planning and improving the institution’s operations, programs, and services. Coordinate the College’s assessment programs to encourage continuous improvement and to ensure that the College meets with THECB and SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation. Oversee and participate as ex officio member of the Executive Committee, Administrative Council, Planning & Assessment Committee, Academic Standards & Curriculum Review Committee, General Education Review Committee and other campus committees. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Three years of experience in a public two-year college as a classroom instructor, institutional effectiveness officer, institutional researcher, instructional administrator, or student services professional is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of the role of assessment and planning for regional accreditation and in the improvement of institutional operations, programs, and services required.Assist institutional personnel in collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data for use in applications for external funding and new instructional programs. Proficient using a personal computer and various software.Communicate effectively including public speaking.Skills to solve problems and multi-task.

Travel: Occasional travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four years of employment experience in a public two-year college as a classroom instructor, institutional effectiveness officer, institutional researcher, instructional administrator, or student services professional. Experience in designing and implementing campus-wide initiatives to support student learning. Familiar with the theory and principles of assessment. Recent experience with the SACSCOC Accreditation Application and THECB assessment requirements.
SALARY :
Commensurate with experience

Essential Job Functions:
Manage the development of campus-wide strategic planning and development of planning tools including the mission, institutional goals and related planning/ assessment needs for administrative and educational support units.

Initiate and monitor annual institutional effectiveness plans for campus units such as administrative educational support and educational programs and create institutional effectiveness reports.

Monitor software and reports used by the Institutional Effectiveness Office for utility and accuracy and work with staff to improve usefulness.

Develop a budget that accurately reflects the needs of the Institutional Effectiveness office.

Publish and update institutional reports including, but not limited to enrollment reports, enrollment profiles, faculty profiles, and other data reported to THECB, SACSCOC, and other agencies.

Identify and develop ongoing processes to gather, interpret, and present data and findings of the College Assessment Plan for Educational Units including information and/or instruction for faculty participation in the collection of artifacts for assessing Program Student Learning Outcomes and Course Student Learning Outcomes and data analysis of assessment results.

Provide faculty and staff development activities related to assessment.

Serve as Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) co-director, with a primary responsibility to perform data analysis of program’s assessment documents.
