GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Systems Administrator II is an experienced position responsible for administration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, applications, and related technology systems and installation of low complexity systems. The Sys Admin II supports application development and operations to help achieve a state-of-the-art environment that meets current and future objectives. The Sys Admin II will play a significant role in protecting college data using current techniques and act as a mentor to student apprentices/interns involved in the cyber program. The Sys Admin II will research and analyze the current cyber landscape as it applies to and impacts college systems, funneling information upwards to be used in strategic planning and decisions. The Sys Admin II will also provide high level support and assistance to the Desktop team and Service Desk employees and assist Sr. Systems Administrators and Engineers as necessary. The Sys Admin II must be self-directed, organized, extremely attentive to details and have the ability to coach and supervise student apprentices/interns.
