REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports directly to the Chief People Officer. The Director of People acts as a team leader, overseeing, coordinating, and assisting other professional and clerical staff.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of People partners with the CPO, People Generalist, and other members of the People Team to design and deliver leadership and management of People initiatives and skill-building programs with the goal to grow the core capabilities needed to further the strategic objectives of the organization. The role will also facilitate and champion the organization’s ‘Uncommon’ Culture (King Kulture), People Succession, and People Retention plans by undertaking a strategic, progressive, and collaborative approach that is inclusive of colleagues across the business, leveraging their experiences, ideas, and passion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations and the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. This position must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
MATH ABILITY:
This position requires the ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position must interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Software: Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS preferably with Paycom HRIS/LMS
EXPERIENCES, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level is usually moderate, and this position is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and talk or hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
