Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletic Director will provide oversight and support to all 24 varsity athletic programs in the areas of enrollment, retention and student success. This position will be an engaged member of athletic leadership team and will work with coaches on recruitment strategy, will assist student-athletes and their families with the transition into college and collegiate athletics and will serve as a liaison between the offices of Enrollment and Student Life. This position will also collaborate with other campus offices to ensure student success and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide coaches with oversight and support around recruitment strategies based on their sport recruitment cycles and program need
• Assist in the development of a department-wide recruitment strategic plan in collaboration with the office of Enrollment
• Develop strategies to promote student-athlete success around retention that will include, but is not limited to: academics, overall wellness, equity, diversity and inclusion and mental health
• Develop transition and orientation programming for first-year student-athletes and their families to assist with the adjustment to college
• Sport oversight of 4-5 varsity programs. Sport supervisors will assist head coaches with oversight of their recruitment, budget, scheduling, program evaluation and program success
• Serve as the Athletic Department representative on the EaglesCare team, Retention and Enrollment campus committees.
• Collaborate with other campus offices that impact student success (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Glaeser Center, Student Life, the SPoT etc.) on programming efforts
• Organize and manage NCAA annual Title IX attestation reporting process in collaboration with Compliance Coordinator.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics on special projects as needed.

Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 3-5 years of experience in collegiate athletics, enrollment and/or student development preferred. Progressive experience working with student-athletes preferred. Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and Landmark Conference rules highly desired.

Supervision Required/Given:
Receives direct supervision from the Director of Athletics. Will oversee four to five full-time head coaches through sport supervision and some student workers.
