The college seeks to appoint a dedicated Workforce Healthcare Coordinator. This individual will spearhead the expansion of vital programs
such as CPR, Phlebotomy, and IV Therapy, catering to both new entrants and existing workers in healthcare and related industries.
Education & Experience Requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Serve as the
Coordinator for the American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center; ensure compliance with the AHA Program Administration Manual (PAM) and
JALC policies and procedures; oversee all healthcare-related workforce programs including but not limited to CPR, IV Therapy, and
Phlebotomy; market and promote Workforce Healthcare programs; communicate, work, and maintain a positive relationship with area businesses;
customize training as necessary; maintain a full instructor roster, adding to it as needed, and evaluate all current instructors regularly;
perform supervisory duties in compliance with AHA and JALC policies and procedures; generate and complete the processes to open and close
healthcare classes; enter grades, calculate payroll, generate contracts, work with Jenzabar and HigherReach software, and all other tasks
required to maintain compliance with AHA, JALC, and ICCB; issue completion cards and certificates; maintain electronic completion card and
equipment inventory; and seek alternative funding methods to help area organizations with the expenses associated with Workforce Healthcare
programs.
Non-Essential Functions of the position: Other duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A.
Logan College campus or designated location.
