This full-time faculty member will be responsible for providing high quality nursing instruction in the following programs: Associate’s in Applied Science – Nursing (ADN), Associate’s in Applied Science – Nursing (LPN to ADN) and/or Certificate in Practical Nursing (PN). The faculty member will be teaching primarily medical-surgical nursing courses. This position includes evaluating students’ progress in the classroom, and in the clinical setting. Certain topics/courses may be delivered online or in a hybrid format. There is a possibility of teaching night and weekend courses. There is an expectation that clinical competency will be maintained. Additionally, a full time faculty member is expected to provide service to the College and community, including representing the Nursing Program in educational, professional, workforce and public forums. Primary responsibilities include assisting in course coordination, program review/improvement, meeting scheduled office hours, and regular participation in department meetings and in college-wide committees. The ability to work effectively with other faculty members and staff in a rapidly changing team environment is required. Full time faculty members are expected to support and contribute to diversity and student success initiatives. A commitment to professional development and learning is needed as nursing education continues to expand and grow.
