Information Security Specialist

IPKeys Technologies; is seeking an Information Security Specialist who will take a key role on our team located in our Fort Meade, MD office.

• Travel Inside the Continental United States and Outside Continental United States is required – 30% travel
• One of the following DoD 8570 certifications / IAT III – CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH
• Must have DOD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance

Responsibilities:

Information Security Specialist will review and evaluate the security/cyber readiness of various DoD activities, as it relates to Cybersecurity/Information Systems/, operational readiness, mission impact, and the ability of the various responsible organizations to properly protect DoD information resources and assets from attack and/or compromise.

• The review process consists of several components: Security Test & Evaluations (ST&E), Enclave, System, and Application certification recommendations (new and reaccreditation).
• Follow policies and process guidelines for each review type as appropriate.
• Support multiple facets of the review process to ensure that technical expertise in the development, execution, and maintenance of documentation requirements, project management schedules, logistics, coordination, cross-training, metrics development, and analysis.
• Knowledge and Experience – with functional area expertise in National and DoD IT policy.

Qualifications

• Must have DOD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance
• Available for travel in the United States and International up to 30%
• Must have one of the following DoD 8570 certifications / IAT III – CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH
• Must have a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Education – B.S. or above, or equivalent or equivalent combination of IT technical or cybersecurity Associates Degree and five years’ experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,784.00 – $105,348.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

Experience:

• Information Systems: 2 years (Preferred)
• evaluate cyber security readiness: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• IAT III – CASP, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH (Preferred)

Security clearance:

• Secret (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Required)
